AmicusX is a platform focussed on the utilitarian goal of helping law students, lawyers and academicians to better understand the law. The platform organizes events to enable students to share their perspectives with the world, and gain something out of it. As we step onto the 5th edition of our Call for Blogs, we expect students and professionals to contribute in unprecedented numbers. 

THEMES

Blogs submitted on the following topics would be considered for evaluation: 

  1. Corporate Insolvency Law

  2. Arbitration law

  3. Company law

  4. Contract law

  5. Laws governing Venture Capital and Private Equity

  6. Laws governing Mergers & Acquisitions

 

ELIGIBILITY

Anyone can submit a blog. There is no submission fee.

WORD-LIMIT

2000 words (exclusive of footnotes)

 

FORMATTING GUIDELINES

  1. Font Style: Times New Roman

  2. Heading: 14, Bold, Underline, All Caps

  3. Sub-heading: 12, Bold, All Caps

  4. Body Text: 12.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

  1. A blog is permitted to have a maximum of two authors. 

  2. Submission should be made in .docx only. 

  3. Multiple submissions from one author are allowed.

  4. References are compulsory. Any statistical data, fact or any other informative text when being used, need to have references to it in the form of footnotes /bibliography /webliography. References should be authentic in order to be reliable.

  5. The use of tables in the blog is usually not suggested, but if it is imperative to use a table, then the author(s) may. 

  6. Submissions that are plagiarised to a level of more than 10% will not be accepted.

  7. Submissions made through the Submission Portal will be considered. Authors are requested to not send their blogs via email.

  8. Your submission will be posted on our website if it gets selected by our Moderators. And trust us, we are quite liberal!

  9. For the sake of anonymity, do not mention your name or your institute's name anywhere in the body of the blog. The blog file should be named as "(NAME OF BLOG)-(NAME OF 1 AUTHOR)".

IMPORTANT DATES

Submission is on a rolling basis. You may submit any time you deem fit. 

(Remember: If you don't hear from us within fourteen days of submission, please understand that the blog has been denied publication. If you wish, you can e-mail us for the reason of rejection.)

PERQUISITES

An online copy of the Certificate of Publication will be provided to only those authors whose blog gets published on our website.
